Join Music Director Richard Webster for this annual celebration. Not to be missed!

Enjoy a mini-concert of music by Bach transcribed for brass, with chorus. Works to include Dona nobis pacem (from Bach’s Mass in B Minor). Featuring Bach Week Festival Chorus with Gaudete Brass; Richard Webster, conductor.

Bach in the Subways promotes classical music through free concerts in public spaces. The grassroots movement began in 2010 with one cellist performing Bach's solo Cello Suites in New York City's subway stations. As with all Bach in the Subway-endorsed events, the musicians are donating their services.

Prior to the pandemic, Bach Week’s 2018 and 2019 ‘Bach in the Subways’ performances were held in the stunning sky-lit lobby of Chicago’s historic landmark Rookery Building.

After a stunning premiere performance in March 2023, Bach Week is thrilled to return in 2024 to Chicago Union Station, graciously hosted by AMTRAK, as part of this internationally-acclaimed project.

Hope to see you there!
